About Me
My name is Briggs Negrón, and I am the founder of Excelsior Tutor.
After graduating from New York University, I decided to dedicate myself to a mission that has inspired me throughout my life: improving educational outcomes, and inspiring young minds to enjoy learning itself. I then decided to take a hiatus from my goals of pursuing law school and business school to dedicate myself to two years of teaching service with Teach For America. With this organization, I teach at under resourced schools with the goal of improving educational outcomes for all students.
Throughout my time in Arizona, I noticed a real need for tutors by students and families looking for high quality tutors to guide their students, develop academic skills, and help build their confidence. I also saw a really amazing way for me to share my content knowledge with young students.
From this reality, Excelsior Tutor was born.
